Okay, so I realize it's been a while and I'm sorry for that. But I'm back and ready to show you the books I've been reading! Note: The summaries are from the books or Amazon. I did not write them. Thank you!
1. The Copernicus Legacy:
The Forbidden Stone by: Tony Abbott
It all begins when Wade Kaplan receives a strange, coded email from his uncle Henry, shortly before the old man's sudden death. He sets off for Germany to attend the funeral with his father, Roald, and his three friends Darrell, Lily, and Becca, only to discover that Uncle Henry left them yet another message that the suspect is the key to figuring out how and why he died.
The message leads them to a clue, which sends them to a dark and creepy family tomb. The more clues they discover, the farther they travel down a treacherous path toward an ancient, guarded secret. Soon, they are in a breathless race across the globe, running for their lives as a ruthless shadow organization chases them around every corner. Their only hope of saving themselves-and the world that they know-is to find twelve magical relics from a hidden past that will unlock the Copernicus Legacy.
A note from me: It's one of the most thrilling, informational, children's book I have ever read. It's a tale for all ages to enjoy.
2. The Pillagy Trilogy:
Pillage by: Obert Skye
When fifteen-year-old Beck Phillips travels by train to the secluded village of Kingsplot to live with his wealthy but estranged uncle, Beck discovers some dark family secrets. A buried basement, a forbidden wall, an old book of family history with odd references to...dragons? Beck's life is about to be changed forever in this suspenseful tale about the destructive nature of greed and courage to make things right.
A note from me: This left me in suspense it was hard to put the book down for even a second. It's a wonderful story and I can't wait to see what comes next!
3. The Menagerie:
The Menagerie by: Tui T. Sutherland and Kari Sutherland
Hidden in the small town of Xanadu, Wyoming, there is a top secret menagerie filled with mythical creatures like unicorns, dragons, and phoenixes. For centuries, Zoe Kahn's family has been responsible for keeping the Menagerie guarded from the outside world. But six griffen cubs have just escaped-and if they can't be found, the Menagerie will be shut down.
Now it's up to Zoe and her classmate Logan Wilde to get the missing cubs back. But the real mystery remains: Is someone trying to sabotage the Menagerie? Who let the griffins out...and why?
A note from me: This is a funny adventure sure to keep you busy.
4. Wings of Fire:
The Dragonet Prophecy by: Tui T. Sutherland
Clay lived his whole life under the mountain. The MudWing dragonet knows that war is raging between the dragon tribes in the world outside-a war that he and four other dragonets are destined to end, according to the mysterious Prophecy they've been taught. The five "chosen" dragonets were stolen from their homes while they were still in their eggs-and hidden away for years-all to fulfill the Prophecy.
But not every dragonet wants a destiny. And when danger threatens one of their own, Clay and his friends may choose freedom over fate...leave the mountain...and set the dragon world on a curse that no one could have predicted.
A note from me: A very interesting story, the description is beautiful and it was hard to look away.
5.
The Mark of the Dragonfly by: Jaleigh Johnson
Piper has never seen the Mark of the Dragonfly until she finds the girl amid the wreckage of a caravan in the Meteor Fields. The girl doesn't remember a thing about her life, but the intricate tattoo on her arm is proof that she's from the Dragonfly Territories and that she's protected by the king. Which means a reward for Piper if she can get the girl home.
The one sure way to the Territories is the 401, a great old beauty of a train. But a ticket costs more coin than Piper could make in a year. And stowing away is a difficult prospect-everyone knows that getting past the peculiar green-eyed boy who stands guard is nearly impossible. Life for Piper just turned dangerous. A little bit magical. And very exciting, if she can manage to survive the journey.
A note from me: Kind of takes place in medieval times and is very exciting.
Hope you find these books interesting if you decide to read them! Enjoy!
