When you're bored!

Okay I know every single person out there has gone through this at least once, Boredom is natural it’s not something bad just…well…boring. But there are cures to boredom solutions that can be solved. In this post I’ll tell you some great solutions to boredom and some cool tips.

1.       If you feel that the cause of your boredom is that you’re stuck in one place all the time, then go tell your mom and dad how you feel. Tell them about some places you would like to see, for example a museum, a park, a carnival, a lake, the beach… anything you feel is comfortable. But a tip; you want to make sure this is a place your parent will enjoy too, because there are going to feel uncomfortable in a place only you would like cause they want to enjoy some nice quit moments with their child to talk and learn about life.

2.       If your parents don’t feel like going anywhere ask to play a game with them it can be a bored game, an active game, and a quit peaceful game. But a tip generally (all kids that I know anyway) would like a game with sound for attention and more fun, but adults usually like nice quit games. So my choice would be to combine the two and play a board game, your parents will get peace and quiet, and you’ll get a chance to talk to them.

3.       If your parents are too tired ask them if you can go play with your friends. Have fun talk, play, and eat. Another tip; most girls like to spill the beans, get thing off their chests. Where boys generally like to play a sport well they talk so it’s easier let it out.

4.       If your friends are unavailable find a book (preferably one you haven’t tried) read enjoy yourself. Another tip; read a book about adventures, love, Sci-Fi… anything just as long as you can read it and you know it’s something you like. This has to be my favorite solution to boredom but that’s just my opinion.

5.       Play with old toy with toys that you haven’t played with in forever. Yet another tip; Play with a sibling, a cousin, anybody as long as it’s someone you know and someone your age.

6.       Last one. This is something you should go to only after you’ve tried all the others. Watch a video with someone or without. Now this is our last tip but the most important tip; watch something you know will lift your spirits. Something you’ll like. Something that won’t scare you. That something has to be what you chose, not your brother, not your sister, and not your friends. What you need to watch is something that your parents could like and what you’ll really like.

7.       Oh sorry sneaky seven. Do your chores if you are really bored, because doing things for your family really makes you happy.

I hope these tips helped everyone who is reading. Remember all this when you’re bored. But there is one thing that I didn’t put on this list because I know some you don’t have it but it would go right after 3. Play with your pet! Pet it, play ball with it, feed it, and most importantly love it. Love is the key to all happiness, that’s why most of the things on this list involve spending time with friends and family because that’s the only way you’ll never be bored.

My secret of very voracious reading!

Hey guys so I know it’s been awhile since I last wrote but I have a really good explanation (really I do!), I’ve been reading a lot and I couldn’t stand setting my book down for a second (I was literally attached to it) I didn’t want to stop it’s so exciting, my favorite parts are usually when the character does something stupid or cute (I always seem to giggle when I get to those parts). Anyway I figured I should write something soon or I would defiantly forget (That would not end well), and a thought accrued to me “Hay why not talk about what makes me want to read so much?”

Well it’s like this when I was younger I couldn’t care less about reading (it just wasn’t my thing) and since I was like that my mom and dad couldn’t get a lot of words past me without me saying “Huh?” or “What?” it was probably really annoying to them but I never asked (I probably didn’t know what the word annoying meant, it was that bad), also I was what six or seven maybe, I guess they couldn’t blame me.Tell one day my 1rst grade teacher read me the most amazing story ever (or at least it was at the time) and she only read it every day that we had school and of course, being the inpatient little girl that I was (you know where every minute was like a fraction of my life wasted), I couldn’t stand the thought of waiting another day and finally I asked my teacher (and I believe these were the exact words) “don’t stop! Could you please read more?”

And of course being the smart teacher that she was (without a single intention to read on) she replied softly “Why not read it yourself?” I stared at her blankly as if 'read it myself' was a different language.

“I don’t know how to read!” I said shyly. When I got home (now this is the part that’s a little fuzzy) I asked my mom if she would teach me how to read. That’s when I started learning to read with my parents and teachers, it was great! I got annoyed every once in awhile when I didn’t know a word or couldn’t say it, but other than that I loved reading it was like I had just gotten rid of one of those bags on my shoulders that I felt like I had carried forever.

Pretty soon I was a lot smarter than most of the kids in my class (but not smart enough to skip a grade apparently) and I got into more books. By the time I was in 4th grade I had started reading between and teen books (surprisingly I Knew a lot of very big words, but ironically I’m a very bad speller) and here are some of my favorites: Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan, The Kane Chronicles series by Rick Riordan, The Heroes of Olympus series by (You guessed it!) Rick Riordan (So I like Rick Riordan, can’t blame me that he’s an expert on catching people’s attention, not to mention a genius on details and cliffhangers), The Candy Shop War series by Brandon Mull, The missing series by Margaret Peterson Haddix (I love series because if you like the story you can keep reading it), and The Genius Files series by Dan Gutman. So as you can see I have been busy. I’ve read every book in The Heroes of Olympus series so far still waiting on the next one, I’ve read every book in in the Percy Jackson series except the last one, I’ve read every book in The Kane Chronicles series (again) except the last one, I’ve read every book in The Candy Shop War series so far (and again) still waiting on the next, I’ve read only the first book of The Genius Files series but can’t wait to read the next, and Finally right now I’m reading The Missing series and I’m on the second book so far. So as you can see I am a very voracious reader (and I not giving up!).

I thank my friend Cumorah for introducing me the first very thick book I ever read (The Candy Shop War), I also thank my school librarian Mrs. Moe for introducing me to the Kane Chronicles series, I thank my mom for introducing me to new and interesting books, and finally I think I thank my dad most of all because he's the one who passed down most of my curiosity to know more.

So that’s my story amazing right? (No? Well it was worth a try) and just to share a little not-so-secret; everyone says that I am really good at writing stories so when they ask what’s my secret (I’ll lean in real close and...) I’ll say “The magic of reading, when I dive into a book I just can’t get out!”

"When I dive into a book I just can't get out!"
